The Civil War was a huge part of our history. It was on of the biggest wars that our nation has ever been in. It
started in 1861, and lasted until 1865. It was the greatest war in American history. It was the only war fought on American
soil by Americans. Over 3 million people fought in the war, and 600,000 people where killed.
